About AC Milan

In terms of European trophies, AC Milan is Italy's most successful club. The Rossoneri have won seven European Cups/Champions League trophies, two UEFA Cup Winners' Cups, and five European/UEFA Super Cups. Although AC Milan trails Juventus in the number of Scudetti won, it has conquered Europe on more occasions than its Italian rival.

AC Milan was founded in 1899 by English expats Herbert Kilpin and Alfred Edwards. The club's history of being founded by Englishmen is showcased today in the AC Milan badge—the St. George's Cross is on the badge alongside AC Milan's famous red and black stripes.

The club's first of 18 Scudetti was won two years after formation. By the end of 1907, AC Milan had secured three league trophies. In 1908, city rivals Internazionale Milano were formed after members of AC Milan split from the established football club. After the split, AC Milan didn't win another league title until 1951.

The 1980s and 1990s are often considered the pinnacle of AC Milan's success in Italy and Europe. Silvio Berlusconi purchased AC Milan in 1986 for €8 million, and under his watch, the club signed some of the biggest names in football and won trophy after trophy.

Ruud Gullit and Marco van Basten were just two of the major names Berlusconi brought to the club. In 2017, Berlusconi sold the club to Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux. The Chinese ownership was unable to keep up with the club's costs and sold AC Milan to Elliott Management Corporation in 2018. Since then, AC Milan has become more financially stable.

Bet on AC Milan

Leading sportsbooks offer betting markets on AC Milan every matchday of the football season. The long campaign provides bettors with the opportunity to wager on the Italian club in various ways. Bettors can wager on the Rossoneri as the outright winner of the Champions League or Coppa Italia competitions before they kick off each tournament.

Bettors can bet on one-off matches, players, correct scores, goals, and more. Major bookies also offer special offers on big games in league or European cup competitions. Of course, football bettors love to wager on the Derby della Madonnina between AC Milan and Inter Milan.

Bettors have the chance to select bets on AC Milan in the transfer market and which player(s) will arrive in the fashion capital each transfer window. Bettors can even wager on who will be the next AC Milan manager.

AC Milan Players

The big names of the past are no longer at AC Milan; however, the club still has a number of stars in the ranks. AC Milan's squad has evolved, with Zlatan Ibrahimović retiring and new talents stepping in. Olivier Giroud, Rafael Leão, and Christian Pulisic now lead the attack, showcasing the club's dynamic forward line. Mike Maignan continues as a key figure in goal, demonstrating the team's blend of experienced and emerging stars. Despite the departures of iconic players, AC Milan's current roster holds the promise of competing for silverware, reflecting a mix of legacy and fresh talent poised to uphold the club's prestigious status.

AC Milan Managers

AC Milan has always been one of the top managerial jobs in football. Even when the club have suffered financial issues, it is a prestigious appointment coaches seek. Arrigo Sacchi is perhaps the most famous coach the club has had. Sacchi won eight major trophies at AC Milan, including two European Cups in back-to-back seasons.

Fabio Capello is another great to grace the Rossoneri sideline. He won four Scudetti with AC Milan and a Champions League. Massimiliano Allegri is the most recent AC Milan coach to win a Scudetto. After being dismissed at the San Siro, he went on to further success with Juventus.
